What does a Life of Adventure look like?
Adventure doesn’t necessarily have to look like sky diving, travelling the world or always being busy.
Living a life of adventure is more about your mindset than anything else. It is being willing to take chances, meet new people and live your best life.
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
Neale Donald Walsch
Isn’t it so true?

It’s when we decide to push a little harder, move a little further, dare a bit more that magic happens. We grow, learn, change and experience things in a whole new way. It’s true that some people are born natural adventurers, they are constantly seeking the daring and dangerous things in life, whether it be white water rafting, or creating a new company from scratch. But just because you aren’t built that same way, it doesn’t mean you can’t live an adventurous life as well!
The way to start living a life of adventure in all aspects of life, is to simple start looking for it in everyday life!
When you start being curious and you start actively looking for it, you will find that there are opportunities to explore and experiment everwhere around you1 You just need to be open to them.
The fact is, life isn’t about doing or experience the extraordinary once in a while; life is about the everyday—and the everyday can be extraordinary.
Here are 7 ways to find adventure right where you are:
- Go on a Treasure hunt into the Word. There are thousands of hidden treasures in God’s Word, if we’re only willing to seek and find them. Make time to go deeper into His word. Don’t just read your daily devotional, but go on a deep dive into a certain subject, or read a commentary of a book of the bible. Or start at a scripture, and then follow the referenced scriptures and keep going. You will find incredible pathways and treasures in His Word.
- Journey around the world without leaving home. Pick a country you know little about, and have a theme night. Cook a traditional meal, and immerse yourself into a new culture. Read books about the history, art or music or watch a documentory about it. Learning about new cultures often open up our minset and worldview. It is an enriching experience!
- Unearth your hidden talents. You have no idea what you can or can’t do until you try. Say yes to things you might have previously said no to. Try your hand at a different sport, or join a local singing group. Just because we’re growing older and wiser, shouldn’t mean we don’t get to try new things!
- Be an everyday seeker of knowledge. The adventure of learning never stops. Turn your boring evenings or weekends into an exciting quest for knowledge. In this day and age we have access to so much information at our fingertips! Challenge yourself to learn something new often.
- Question all your limiting self-beliefs. These beliefs stop you from trying new things, taking risks and growing. Overcoming our limiting self-beliefs is an adventure in itself that can change your life.
- Have a great relationship, with yourself. Go on a journey of discovery to fall in love with yourself. Perform an act of self-care each day. Journal all the positive things you did and said, and all the people you helped. Begin to see what a wonderful human being you are.
- Discover that the Greatest Adventure Is helping others. Befriend a stranger at work or in your neighborhood. Be the first to break the ice and introduce yourself. Offer them a sincere compliment, and make their day. A stranger is just a friend-in-waitingLife is to precious to live a boring and ordinary life. Even when you do the ordinary things, you can still find the adventurous and extrodinary beauty in them.ave an amazing week finding adventures!
